Behavior Modification Training Tips
Dog obedience training is all about teaching a dog new skills. But, what is behavior modification training? This type of training is a whole different animal so to speak. Behavior modification training is not about teaching your dog a new skill, but rather taking your dog’s current actions or attitudes towards something or someone, and modifying it. Behavior modification training is all about changing the unwanted behavior AND the underlying problem or attitude that causes the behavior. Common types of behavior modification include:
- separation anxiety
- leash aggression
- dog aggression
- human aggression
- resource guarding
- & more
